Before his jersey was hung from the rafters in the Carrier Dome, Billy Gabor played six seasons in the NBA with the Syracuse Nationals.
An upstate New York boy through and through, Gabor was born in Binghamton, attended and played at Syracuse University, and spent his entire professional career with the Nationals.
Gabor earned one appearance in the NBA All-Star Game and averaged 9.8 points per game throughout his professional career.
His career would have lasted even longer had he not endured a career-ending injury in 1955.
