By Sam Fariss
After being named a unanimous All-American for Syracuse in 2001, Dwight Freeney was selected 11th overall by the Indianapolis Colts.
Over his 15-year-long career, Freeney won Super Bowl XLI with the Colts, was a seven-time Pro Bowler, and led the NFL in sacks in 2004.
Freeney was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2002 when he was the NFL co-leader in forced fumbles.
The former Orangeman had 332 total tackles and 125.5 sacks throughout his career. Freeney also accounted for 47 forced fumbles, 4 fumbles recoveries, 17 pass deflections, and a defensive touchdown.
He has since been named to the Colts Ring of Honor and the NFL 2000s All-Decade team, along with a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
