One of the greatest NFL players of all time, Jim Brown started his football career on the national stage at Syracuse. He was then selected sixth overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 1957 NFL Draft.

Brown got off to a hot start as the NFL Rookie of the Year in 1957 and was also a three-time NFL MVP (1957, 1958, and 1965).

He was the NFL scoring leader in 1958. He was the NFL rushing yards leader in 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1963, 1964, and 1965. He was the NFL rushing touchdowns leader in 1957, 1958, 1959, 1963, and 1965.

Brown, who had been a unanimous All-American in 1956 for the Orange, was a nine-time Pro Bowler and an eight-time First-Team All-Pro player.

Jim Brown, inexplicably and undeniably, had the greatest NFL career by a former Syracuse Orangeman.
