This coming weekend is shaping up to be yet another big one for Syracuse football coaches, as they’re reportedly going to welcome numerous recruiting targets to the Hill on visits.

I noted in a column on Tuesday that several four-star prospects from New Jersey are expected to visit the Orange this weekend.

Additionally, based on media reports and social media posts, several other high school players are eyeing visits to the ‘Cuse this weekend, including a top-200 national prospect from New Jersey as well as two recruiting targets who hail from Baltimore.

These visitors that I’m discussing in this column reside in the 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes. The Orange has put together a strong 2024 cycle and is focusing efforts on the two classes after that one.

Syracuse football has a huge weekend in store with recruits on the Hill.

According to posts on their X pages, two teammates from Dundalk High School in Baltimore are visiting Central New York this weekend.

They are 2025 inside linebacker Jocquan Jenkins and 2026 offensive lineman Gregory Maddox. As far as I can tell, neither holds a Syracuse football scholarship offer at this juncture, although obviously they are garnering interest from the Orange coaching staff.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound Jenkins, per his bio on Rivals.com, has interest from Syracuse football, Maryland and Oklahoma.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Maddox, according to recruiting services, has picked up offers from schools including Akron, Virginia Tech, Charlotte, Boston College, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Maryland and Penn State.

Also expected to take a visit to the ‘Cuse this weekend is 2025 four-star athlete Cameron Miller, who plays both defensive back and wide receiver.

Miller’s upcoming Orange visit was reported in an article and a post on X from 247Sports national analyst Brian Dohn. His piece is a subscriber-exclusive, however, Dohn “tagged” 247Sports’ Syracuse reporter, James Finneral, in the story on Miller.

Additionally, Miller’s trip to Syracuse football this weekend was also shared on social media by numerous others in the ‘Cuse community.

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound Miller is a junior at Winslow Township High School in Atco, N.J., which is the same school of Orange commit Jaylan Hornsby, a 2024 three-star wide receiver.

Miller was offered by the ‘Cuse in September of 2022, when Dino Babers was still at the helm of Syracuse football. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if new Orange head coach Fran Brown and his staff dole out an offer to Miller while he’s on a visit to the program this weekend.

In August of 2023, Miller disclosed a top eight of Syracuse football, Georgia, Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Illinois and Rutgers.

Multiple recruiting Web sites rate him as a top-300 national prospect in the 2025 cycle, with On3 presently placing Miller at No. 165 around the country in this class.

As I wrote on Tuesday, a couple of 2025 recruits from New Jersey will be on the Hill this weekend on visits, such as four-star cornerback/safety Deshawn Stewart, four-star wide receiver Dez Jones and four-star wide receiver Michael Thomas III.
