The pieces are starting to come together for the Syracuse basketball schedule in the upcoming season.

The next campaign will mark year two of the Adrian Autry era as the Orange's head coach. In 2023-24, he led the 'Cuse to a 20-12 overall record, the first time that the program won 20 regular-season games in a decade.

Last year, the Orange was forecast to finish at No. 10 in the Atlantic Coast Conference's pecking order, and Syracuse basketball earned the No. 7 seed in the league's post-season tournament this past March.

To me, Autry's inaugural season as the squad's head coach after replacing the Hall of Famer Jim Boeheim was a successful one, although the 'Cuse has missed three straight NCAA Tournaments.

Understandably, Syracuse basketball fans are anxious to see the team get back to the Big Dance, and Orange coaches could be looking to add another player or two ahead of the 2024-25 term, given that the 'Cuse still has three open scholarships available for the upcoming season.

Here's what we know about the Syracuse basketball 2024-25 docket to date.

Based on media reports, social media posts and other announcements, we do have a sense of what part of the Orange's 11-game non-conference slate looks like, along with the team's ACC foes in 2024-25, when it will play 20 conference contests.

Per a post on X from Rocco Miller, the 'Cuse will welcome nearby school Colgate to the JMA Wireless Dome on November 12.

Syracuse basketball will compete in the 2024 Legends Classic at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on November 21 and November 22. Other participants here are Texas, Texas Tech, and Saint Joseph's. The 'Cuse will have two affairs in this pre-season tournament.

The Orange will be home against Georgetown on December 14, per CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.

Syracuse basketball will have a neutral-site encounter versus Maryland at the Barclays Center on December 21, Rothstein has said.

According to Rothstein, the Orange will also host fellow Empire State squad Albany, with the date to be determined.

I assume that Syracuse basketball will have a game in the annual ACC/SEC Challenge. In 2023-24, the Orange hosted (and beat) LSU, so I would imagine that the 'Cuse will be on the road this coming season.

This is also an assumption, but I could see Syracuse basketball playing Central New York neighbor Cornell on the Hill in 2024-25.

The above, if it all holds true, would account for eight non-conference games, with three more to go.

In late February, the ACC revealed its 2024-25 match-ups for the 18-member league, with new additions being California, Stanford and SMU. The ACC said specific dates, times and television information for conference contests will be announced early this fall.

Here are the Orange's ACC foes for the upcoming campaign:
Home/Away: Boston College, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame
Home Only: Duke, Georgia Tech, Louisville, North Carolina, N.C. State, Virginia and Wake Forest
Away Only: California, Clemson, Florida State, Miami, SMU, Stanford, and Virginia Tech
