The Syracuse basketball coaching staff continues to prioritize Sadiq White Jr., a 2025 four-star forward from the Charlotte, N.C., area.
On Saturday, the Orange staff was expected to be in for the 6-foot-8 White, according to a post on X from Nick Jones, an assistant coach where White is a junior, the nationally ranked Myers Park High School in Charlotte.

Myers Park was scheduled to play on Saturday night at Northwood High School in Pittsboro, N.C. Earlier on Saturday, the ‘Cuse was facing No. 7 North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C., which is about 30 minutes away from Pittsboro.
Love it. The Orange continues to prioritize 2025 four-star forward @SadiqWhite11, who took an unofficial visit to Syracuse in mid-September and is a standout junior at nationally ranked @MyersPark_Hoops. 🍊 https://t.co/LY8ZwYCPrf

In recent months, according to social media posts, Orange coaches have attended multiple Myers Park games to watch White, who is a consensus top-40 national prospect in the 2025 cycle and also took an unofficial visit to the Hill in mid-September of last year.

Syracuse basketball is recruiting 2025 four-star forward Sadiq White Jr. hard.
The ‘Cuse offered a scholarship to White in late April of 2023. His full offer sheet includes teams such as Ohio State, Georgetown, N.C. State, Tennessee, Texas, Cincinnati, Florida State, Georgia, Illinois, LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Alabama, among others.
White said in an interview with On3 national analyst/scout Jamie Shaw in early December that he’s taken unofficial visits so far to the Orange, South Carolina and N.C. State.
Others showing interest in White include Arkansas, Duke and North Carolina, White told Shaw. That’s something to monitor.
Regarding the ‘Cuse, White said, “The coaching staff, Coach (Adrian) Autry and Coach B (Brenden Straughn) and G-Mac (Gerry McNamara), they all embraced me real well went I visited. They like my versatility and think that would fit well with how they’re trying to play. I talk with them almost every day, about life, about basketball, about expanding my game. Everything.”
White has said in the past that when it comes time to start taking official visits, he plans to go on one to Syracuse basketball.
Jones, the assistant coach at Myers Park, told me in a recent message that White hasn’t begun discussions about official visits yet, as he’s focused on the current 2023-24 season right now.

When I wrote this article, several recruiting services rated White inside the top 30 in his class. He’s also a consensus top-10 small forward/power forward and the No. 1 prospect in North Carolina within the 2025 cycle.
