Former Syracuse basketball star Judah Mintz, on Monday, put forth his best performance thus far in the 2024 NBA summer league.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Mintz, who is from Fort Washington, Md., and played two seasons on the Hill, is suiting up during the summer league for the Philadelphia 76ers.
On Monday in Las Vegas, Philadelphia fell to Portland, 97-95, although Mintz was superb. Per a box score on the ESPN Web site, he logged 19 minutes, scoring 16 points to go along with one rebound and one steal.
Mintz was 5-of-7 from the field, 5-of-5 from the free-throw line, 1-of-1 from beyond the arc, and he had a plus/minus of +15. He and the 76ers are back in action on Tuesday night against Minnesota, with the tip-off scheduled for 8 pm and television coverage on ESPN2.
Former Syracuse basketball player Cole Swider has fared well in the NBA summer league.
Swider, a 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward from Portsmouth, R.I., competed for the Orange for one campaign after playing his first three seasons in college at Villanova.
In the NBA summer league, he is suiting up for Miami. On Monday in Las Vegas, the Heat defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, 102-73. Swider struggled from the field, going 1-of-6 from 3-point land and finishing with three points and four rebounds in 15 minutes. He was +21 when on the floor.
Former Syracuse basketball shooting guard Buddy Boeheim is playing for the Thunder in 2024 NBA summer league. Matched up against Swider and the Heat, Boeheim logged four minutes for Oklahoma City and didn't score. Both the Thunder and the Heat are off on Tuesday.
Earlier this month in the NBA summer league, Swider has delivered some nice outings. Here are his stats from a few games:
