Syracuse Basketball: Fast-rising wing Ryder Frost has high interest in visiting 'Cuse
By Neil Adler
Fast-rising prospect Ryder Frost, a 2025 three-star wing offered a scholarship by Syracuse basketball in the past week, is highly interested in visiting the 'Cuse at some point, according to two recent articles from recruiting analysts.
The 6-foot-6 Frost, as he has played at a stellar level to date this spring on the AAU circuit, is seeing his recruitment blow up. Numerous other high-major programs, beyond the Orange, have offered him a scholarship over the last week or so.
Frost, in a recent interview with top analyst Mike McAllister of 247Sports, sounded quite excited about his 'Cuse offer, saying in part, "Just crazy pumped. Doesn't feel real."
Regarding a trip to the Hill, he added to McAllister, "Yes would love to visit very soon. Hopefully after school ends and over the summer. Not 100% sure, but would love to see campus and meet the coaches and players."
Rob Cassidy, a national analyst with Rivals.com, wrote in a recent story that Frost "seems particularly interested in visiting Syracuse, which is roughly a five-hour car ride away from his New Hampshire home."
I'll certainly monitor if and when Ryder ends up scheduling a visit to the Orange program.
The competition continues to expand for Syracuse basketball three-star recruit Ryder Frost.
Frost, who I believe is poised to emerge as a four-star, top-100 national prospect in the rising high school senior class, attends the Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, N.H. On the AAU circuit this spring and summer, he is suiting up for the 17U team of the Boston-based Middlesex Magic in the Under Armour Association league.
So far, the Under Armour Association circuit has held two sessions, first in South Carolina and then more recently in Ohio. Amid those two sessions, Frost has earned high marks from a variety of national analysts and scouts for his performances.
Just over the past week or so, beyond Syracuse basketball, Frost has picked up new scholarship offers from teams including Boston College, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, N.C. State, Minnesota and Nebraska, according to posts on his X page.
Per recruiting services and social media posts, he has also secured offers from schools such as Iowa, West Virginia, the University of Illinois Chicago, Penn State, Harvard, Vermont, Rhode Island, Brown, UMass, Dartmouth, Holy Cross, Fairfield and Le Moyne.
Experts note that Frost has high-level scoring prowess and can really stroke it from beyond the arc. Cassidy, in his recent story, agreed that Frost has the skill set to evolve into a top-100 player in his class, citing his long-distance shooting, length and rebounding proficiency.
Dating back to mid-April, Frost is one of at least five 2025 prospects who have landed Syracuse basketball offers, with the others being four-star combo guard Acaden Lewis from Washington, D.C., three-star big man Asher Elson from New York City, four-star shooting guard Dante Allen from Miami, and four-star small forward Shon Abaev, who also resides in Florida.
