Syracuse Basketball: ‘Cuse plans to host 4-star London Jemison on visit this weekend

London Jemison, a fast-rising 2025 prospect from Connecticut, is planning to take an official visit to Syracuse basketball on December 30.

On3 national analyst/scout Jamie Shaw previously reported this news in late November, and I’ve confirmed with a source that the 6-foot-8 Jemison, a four-star small forward, is planning to make a trip to the Hill this coming weekend.

The ‘Cuse will welcome fellow Atlantic Coast Conference team Pittsburgh to the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday, Dec. 30, beginning at noon. I would imagine that Jemison will be in attendance for this conference clash.

In late September, the Orange coaching staff offered a scholarship to Jemison. He has said in some recent interviews that he’s in regular communication with ‘Cuse coaches.

Syracuse basketball will host four-star small forward London Jemison on an official visit.

Jemison, who hails from Bloomfield, Conn., is a standout at the St. Thomas More School in Oakdale, Conn., which is a member of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (“NEPSAC”).

So far in the 2023-24 season, he has earned high praise from national analysts and scouts for various performances, including at the prestigious National Prep Showcase in New Haven, Conn., which took place in mid- November.

In the most recent AAU season, over the spring and summer months, Jemison competed for the 17U team of the Boston-based Expressions Elite in Nike’s EYBL league. He announced in early May that he would reclassify from the 2024 cycle to the 2025 class.

One of his more recent scholarship offers is from ACC school Notre Dame. His full offer sheet also includes college squads such as Villanova, Xavier, Providence, Virginia, Temple, George Mason, Boston University, Rice, Saint Joseph’s, Rhode Island, Yale, Fairfield, UMass and Brown. Big 12 Conference powerhouse Kansas has reportedly shown an interest in Jemison.

Jemison’s expected trip to Central New York would represent his first official visit. He told Shaw that, beyond the ‘Cuse, other suitors he talks to a lot these days include Virginia, Xavier and Providence.

Not too long ago, top expert Adam Finkelstein, the director of scouting at 247Sports, published a detailed column on some of the premier high school prospects throughout the Northeast region, and Jemison is featured in this piece.

Finkelstein wrote in part, “Jemison has a versatile combination of tools, ranging from his athleticism and mobility to his motor, developing skill, and budding two-way versatility. He’s still putting all the pieces together and learning how to consistently make his presence felt, while simultaneously working to be a more consistent shooter, but looks poised to keep improving.”

Several recruiting services rank Jemison as a top-125 to a top-150 national prospect in the 2025 class. When Rivals.com updated its 2025 national ratings not too long ago, Jemison arrived just outside the top 100, at No. 102 overall.

In September and October, Syracuse basketball coaches welcomed five 2025 players on visits. Four-star forward Sadiq White Jr. took an unofficial visit, while those going on official visits included four-star point guard Nigel James, four-star combo guard Derek Dixon, four-star big man Matthew Gilhool and four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony.
