Chris Cenac Jr., a 2025 five-star power forward rated as high as No. 6 nationally in his class, has landed a scholarship offer from Syracuse basketball.

The elite 6-foot-10 big man disclosed his offer from the Orange via his X page on Wednesday. Cenac is one of at least six 2025 prospects who have received a scholarship offer from the 'Cuse staff since mid-April.

Cenac is a consensus top-50 overall player in his cycle. That being said, when recruiting service and media outlet On3 updated its 2025 rankings a few days ago, Cenac arrived as five stars, No. 6 nationwide, No. 3 at power forward and No. 1 in Louisiana.

Cenac attends the Isidore Newman School, a prep school located in New Orleans. You can view some of his high school statistics on the MaxPreps Web site. In the current AAU season, he is suiting up for the Dallas-based YoungGameChangers in the PUMA-sponsored PRO16/NXT league.

Syracuse basketball has gotten into the mix for 2025 five-star Chris Cenac Jr.

A couple of days ago, top national analyst/scout Jamie Shaw of On3 published a detailed evaluation of Cenac. I'd highly recommend carving out some time for it.

Cenac's recruitment appears to be blowing up. Dating back to around mid-April, per his X page, he's landed other offers from schools such as Oklahoma State, Indiana, Alabama, Baylor, Kansas, Creighton, Texas, Ole Miss, Illinois, Oklahoma, Rutgers and Louisville.

According to a review of the primary recruiting services, other teams that have offered Cenac include Auburn, California, Houston, LSU, Memphis, Mississippi State, SMU, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

Needless to say, it's awesome that the Orange staff has offered Cenac, but clearly the competition to prevail for him is steep - and growing.

In terms of the 2025 composite rankings for Cenac, on Wednesday, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite had him at No. 29 overall, No. 2 at center and No. 1 in Louisana.

Over at the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking, Cenac was No. 26 nationally, No. 7 at power forward and No. 1 in Louisana.

Over the past month-and-a-half or so, besides Cenac, Syracuse basketball has made new offers in the 2025 class to four-star combo guard Acaden Lewis from Washington, D.C., four-star small forward Shon Abaev from Florida, four-star shooting guard Dante Allen from Florida, four-star wing Ryder Frost from Massachusetts, and three-star power forward/center Asher Elson from New York City.
