Syracuse basketball commit Sadiq White vaults to 5 stars, into the top 15 nationwide

Another recruiting service has moved Syracuse basketball 2025 commit Sadiq White Jr. from Charlotte, N.C., to five stars in his class.
ESPN recently updated its 2025 national rankings of the top-100 prospects in the high school senior class. Following that refresh, the 6-foot-8 White is now five stars, No. 15 overall, No. 4 at power forward and No. 1 in North Carolina within his cycle.
Virtually all of the main recruiting Web sites have White in the top 25 nationally of the 2025 class, and he's also a five-star prospect, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
Additionally, in a recent X post by ESPN recruiting director Paul Biancardi, he noted his top-25 players around the country, regardless of class designation. Here, White arrived at No. 23 overall, which is so cool.
Syracuse basketball 2025 commit Sadiq White Jr. continues to climb in national rankings.
This spring and summer, White was deemed one of the top forwards on Nike's EYBL circuit as he shined for the 17U squad of the Charlotte-based Team United, per 247Sports director of scouting Adam Finkelstein.
Looking ahead to the 2024-25 campaign, White will spend his senior year at the powerhouse IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., which is a member of the loaded 14-team Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic ("EYBL Scholastic").
This past season, 2024 five-star power forward and Orange incoming freshman Donnie Freeman was exceptional as a senior for IMG. Freeman, this past spring, suited up in several prestigious All-America showcases and helped guide IMG to a berth in the 2024 Chipotle Nationals.
Several high school basketball experts have told me that they expect the Ascenders to have a preseason top-10 national ranking for 2024-25, while significantly contending for an EYBL Scholastic crown and a return bid to next spring's Chipotle Nationals.
While competing for IMG, White is likely to have some of his games broadcast on national television. He'll also do battle versus another EYBL Scholastic member, the juggernaut Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y.
A senior at Long Island Lutheran is 2025 four-star shooting guard and top-30 national prospect Kiyan Anthony, who has the 'Cuse in his top six. Anthony took an official visit to the Orange in late October of last year.
More recently, at the start of the fall recruiting period on September 4, Anthony reportedly conducted an in-home visit with the Syracuse basketball staff.
Earlier this week, it looks as though the Orange coaching staff may have also been in attendance for White during an open gym at IMG, according to an Instagram story post from 'Cuse assistant coach Brenden Straughn.
