Numerous highly ranked prospects with Syracuse basketball recruiting ties are expected to suit up next month at a USA Basketball event in Colorado.
Per an announcement, 83 players across the 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028 recruiting classes are planning to compete at a USA Basketball junior national team minicamp from October 11 to October 13 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The athletes and coaches for this minicamp were selected by the USA Basketball men’s developmental national team committee.
According to the press release, participants will conduct on-court drills and scrimmages, while also engaging in educational programs focused on eligibility and life skills development.
Syracuse basketball 4-star and 5-star recruits will battle it out at a USA Basketball minicamp.
Here are those invited to the upcoming junior national team event who hold scholarship offers from the Orange coaching staff.
2025 Class
Sadiq White Jr.
White, a five-star forward and a top-15 national prospect per ESPN, verbally committed to the 'Cuse in late May of this year. A senior at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., White is taking an official visit to Syracuse basketball this weekend.
Kiyan Anthony
Anthony, a four-star shooting guard and a top-30 national prospect, has the Orange in his top six. The senior at Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y., took an official visit to the 'Cuse in late October of last year and recently conducted an in-home visit with the Orange staff.
2026 Class
Jordan Smith Jr.
Smith had an All-American campaign last season and is a junior at St. Paul VI Catholic High School in Chantilly, Va. A five-star shooting guard and a top-10 overall player in his cycle, Smith plans to unofficially visit Syracuse basketball this weekend.
Deron Rippey Jr.
Rippey, a junior at the Blair Academy in Blairstown, N.J., is a five-star point guard and a top-15 national prospect. He went on an unofficial visit to the Hill in late February of this year on Jim Boeheim Day, and I anticipate that Rippey will take an official visit to the Orange at some point in the future.
2027 Class
Baba Oladotun
In late June, the 'Cuse coaching staff offered a scholarship to Oladotun, who is an elite forward coming out of the DMV. The sophomore at James Hubert Blake High School in Silver Spring, Md., is in the top five overall of his class, per multiple recruiting services. Currently, ESPN places Oladotun as the No. 1 national prospect in the 2027 cycle.
