5 worst head coaching hires in Syracuse football history
By Sam Fariss
As the BCS era came to a sad ending, so did Syracuse head coach Greg Robinson’s depressing tenure.
While five isn’t the least amount of wins by a singular head coach, Robinson started his time in Syracuse with two winless seasons. Starting his tenure 0-18 overall, the Orange was looking absolutely abysmal.
In his third year with Syracuse, Robinson saw his first wins and finished the season at 2-10 overall. The Orange finally cut ties with him when his final season reached just three wins. After four years in Syracuse, Robinson finished his head coaching career at 5-37 overall.
With a winning rate of 11.9 percent, Robinson cemented his name as the worst Syracuse head coaching hire of all time.
