The Orange (23-8 overall), predicted to finish at No. 13 in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings, ultimately finished in a tie for No. 5 in the conference race. It has been a special 2025-26 season for head coach Felisha Legette-Jack and her program, with several players picking up ACC awards.
Latest bracketology projections for Syracuse women's basketball.
On Sunday, here's what I'm seeing for SU in various NCAA Tournament predictions:
CBS Sports: No. 8 seed (playing No. 9 seed Princeton)
ESPN: No. 9 seed (playing No. 8 seed Oklahoma State)
Her Hoop Stats: No. 10 seed (playing No. 7 seed Georgia)
USA Today: No. 10 seed (playing No. 7 seed Texas Tech)
At the time of this writing, the Orange had an NCAA NET ranking of No. 39 overall. That includes a sub-par 1-7 mark in quadrant-one opportunities, but also an impressive 22-1 record in combined quadrant-two, quadrant-three and quadrant-four encounters.
Center Uche Izoje had one of the best freshman campaigns in Syracuse women's basketball history. She was the ACC rookie of the year and also named to the All-ACC first team, the All-Defensive squad and the All-Freshman team. Izoje also made the All-ACC Tournament second team.
Senior guard Laila Phelia was on the All-ACC second squad, while junior guard Sophie Burrows was named the conference's Kay Yow scholar-athlete of the year. Legette-Jack placed third in the ACC's coach of the year voting.
