In NFL's preseason week 2, Alijah Clark, Andre Cisco and Sean Tucker lead Syracuse charge

The second weekend of NFL preseason games has wrapped up, and several former Syracuse football standouts played quite well in recent days.

Nearly two dozen former Orange players, including a couple who ended their college careers at other schools besides the 'Cuse, are currently on NFL preseason rosters. As the 2026-27 regular season draws closer, though, we'll have to see which former SU stars remain on NFL rosters.

Garrett Williams, cornerback, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona fell to the Dallas Cowboys, 34-13. Williams did not play; he's recovering from an Achilles injury that he suffered in December 2025.

Matthew Bergeron, offensive lineman, Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta beat the Indianapolis Colts, 34-6. According to reports, Bergeron played in this win for the Falcons.

Dion Wilson Jr., defensive lineman, Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore defeated the Minnesota Vikings, 13-3. Wilson played but didn't register any statistics, per reports.

Da'Metrius Weatherspoon, offensive lineman, Buffalo Bills
Buffalo knocked off the Cleveland Browns, 31-7. Weatherspoon played in the victory, reports stated.

Andre Szmyt, placekicker, Cleveland Browns
Cleveland lost to the Buffalo Bills, 31-7. Szmyt made his only extra-point attempt.

Justin Barron, linebacker, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas beat the Arizona Cardinals, 34-13. Barron tallied five total tackles, four of which were solo tackles.

Green Bay conquered the Denver Broncos, 33-13. Franklin had three total tackles, one solo tackle and one tackle for a loss.

Kyle McCord, quarterback, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay beat the Denver Broncos, 33-13. McCord connected on 12-of-19 for 118 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. He was sacked once.

Jacksonville lost to the Carolina Panthers, 34-17. Allen did not play due to an injury.

Los Angeles lost to the San Francisco 49ers, 41-17. Gadsden hauled in two catches for 24 yards.

Tampa Bay beat the Kansas City Chiefs, 16-15. Dixon had five punts, with a long of 53 yards and an average of 47.0 yards per punt. He tallied two punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line.

Tampa Bay defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, 16-15. Tucker had five carries for 23 yards and one rushing touchdown. He also recovered a fumble and had one kickoff return for 18 yards.
