Syracuse football's 2026 season commences at home early next month, and fans will see numerous new game-day experiences at the JMA Wireless Dome, according to SU Athletics.

Student engagement in the third quarter. A new team entrance and other game-day traditions. Fan engagement in the Dome light show. Different food and beverage offerings in the Miron Victory Court. And other interactive elements. Plus, fun new things on the Quad!

"The Dome is one of the most unique venues in sports and we want to create a gameday atmosphere that harnesses its unlimited potential to create a first-class fan experience and a disruptive home-field advantage," said Bryan Blair, SU's athletics director, in a statement.

He added that Syracuse Athletics will continue to get input from fans and students to roll out "larger efforts" in the future. Stay tuned on that.

One component is having student-focused entertainment in the third quarter of Syracuse football home games (the Orange's 2026 season begins on Saturday, Sept. 5, against non-conference foe New Hampshire on the Hill).

What does this entertainment entail? Special contests and giveaways. Student against faculty/staff competitions (that rocks). And student-only concession specials in the "Flex Space" behind sections 122 to 124.

The Flex Space will also have Otto's Army giveaways and a photo booth. Separately, there's also a new rapid-fire t-shirt cannon with giveaways.

Syracuse Athletics is taking steps to enhance the fan experience at SU football games.

The Orange program will have an upgraded team entrance in 2026, with the press release saying that "the newest element is being kept a surprise for the season opener."

The Dome's light show is returning in 2026. Additionally, on defensive third downs, DMX's Ruff Ryders Anthem will play to encourage fans to get loud. There will be live decibel tracking at key moments throughout games, as SU Athletics wants fans to "see an increased emphasis on measuring and celebrating the volume inside the Loud House."

This is interesting. Syracuse Athletics says that, in the fourth quarter, in-game programming will feature fewer interruptions and more of an emphasis on football and crowd energy. I like that.

On Monday, SU revealed new experiences to take place on the Quad prior to games that you can read about here. By extension, fans can enter the Dome 90 minutes before kickoff and check out the Miron Victory Court, which will feature "unique food and beverage options each week that you can only get inside Miron."

On-field entertainment will commence a half-hour prior to kickoff, including a performance by Syracuse's marching band, which is celebrating its 150th year and also debuting new uniforms this fall. Love that.

Oh, and in case you missed it, SU Athletics has a new sponsorship agreement with Progressive Insurance that includes on-field branding and other elements. Inside the Loud House spoke to sports marketing experts about this deal last week; you can read more about it here.
