Chance Berry, a four-star guard in the 2027 class from Canada, has dropped a top eight that includes Syracuse basketball. The 5-foot-11 combo guard will also take an official visit to the Orange later this month.
Berry's top eight includes Syracuse, fellow Atlantic Coast Conference school N.C. State, Arizona, Arizona State, Penn State, Texas Tech, UCF and West Virginia, according to national recruiting analysts such as Talia Goodman of On3/Rivals and Dushawn London of 247Sports.

Berry has locked in an official visit to Syracuse women's basketball during the weekend that begins on September 18, a source confirms to Inside the Loud House. She has multiple other official visits set to various suitors, Goodman reports.
The Orange staff, led by head coach Felisha Legette-Jack, first offered a scholarship to Berry on June 8, 2025. ESPN's national rankings for the 2027 class place her at No. 50 nationally. SU is still looking for its first verbal commit in the high school senior cycle, where the 'Cuse has offered a range of prospects.

Syracuse women's basketball is in the mix for 2027 four-star guard Chance Berry.
Berry announced via social media on August 11 that she would spend the upcoming 2026-27 season at the DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Ontario native previously played at the Royal Crown School in Toronto.
Berry has also played for the All Knighters in the Overtime Select league. She started every game for the All Knighters when the team won the OT Select championship in 2025.
Additionally, Berry has competed for Team Canada in the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup and the 2023 FIBA U16 Americas Championship. At the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup, she averaged 6.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game while making 66.7 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from the charity stripe.
During the 2023 FIBA U16 Americas Championship, Berry tallied averages of 9.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while connecting on 50.0 percent from the field and 68.4 percent from the free-throw line.
It's encouraging that Berry has included Syracuse women's basketball in her top eight, and Inside the Loud House will monitor how her upcoming official visit to the Hill goes.
