A younger brother of former Syracuse basketball star Tyler Ennis is on the Orange staff's radar.

Tyylon Ennis, a 2028 point guard, said on X that he has landed a scholarship offer from the 'Cuse. Per an article from top 247Sports analyst Mike McAllister, Syracuse basketball head coach Adrian Autry offered the 6-foot Ennis after watching him during a live period this past weekend.

A huge congrats to Tyylon! He is heading into his sophomore year at Pearland High School in Pearland, Texas. In grassroots basketball, Ennis is a standout with the 15U team of Houston-based JL3 in Nike's EYBL league.

In his lone season with the Orange, Tyler Ennis, also a point guard, played a key role as Syracuse basketball raced out to a 25-0 start to the 2013-14 campaign, the program's first in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

He was an All-American and an All-ACC first-team performer, averaging 12.9 points, 5.5 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 2.1 steals per contest, with the 'Cuse going 28-6 overall that season. At the 2014 NBA Draft, Ennis was a first-round pick, and he has played professionally in the NBA and for teams abroad.

Regarding his Orange offer, Tyylon Ennis said in part to McAllister, "It feels great. Obviously getting to go to Syracuse and watch my brother play, I was able to get a feel for what it was like at Syracuse. Hopefully get to go to some games before my senior season."

Syracuse basketball is beginning to dole out scholarship offers to 2028 prospects.

According to his X page and recruiting services, Tyylon Ennis' early offer sheet also includes the University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Texas at San Antonio.

This past weekend, the EYBL circuit held a session in Memphis, Tenn. Autry was on hand to watch some of Ennis' games, and he played quite well amid an NCAA-permitted live period where college coaches could check out recruits in person.

In Memphis, he averaged 15.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per encounter while making 55.1 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from beyond the arc. In one game on May 16, Ennis tallied 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field, including 5-of-7 from deep.

It's extremely early on in Ennis' recruiting process. I'm glad to see the 'Cuse getting involved in his recruitment, although many more offers will likely arrive for Ennis, who characterizes his game this way: "Pass first point guard with three level scoring ability and a good on-ball defender."
