Boeheim's Army, the Syracuse alumni team that looked impressive in its first game of the $2 million, winner-take-all The Basketball Tournament ("TBT") this past Tuesday evening in South Orange, N.J., returns to the court on Thursday night against a Seton Hall alumni squad, known as Hall In.
Thursday's contest will take place in Syracuse, N.Y., at the Upstate Medical University Arena at the Oncenter War Memorial. The tip-off is slated for 7:00 pm EST, with television coverage on FS1.
Boeheim's Army and Hall In are among eight alumni groups on one side of the TBT bracket, with the teams playing best-of-three, opening-round series. On the other side of the bracket are six non-alumni squads that are competing in Las Vegas.

The winners of each side of the TBT bracket will advance to the annual summer event's championship game, which will occur on Sunday, Aug. 2, with the prevailing team collecting $2 million. In summers past, the grand prize was $1 million, including when Boeheim's Army won the TBT in 2021.
Boeheim's Army is back at it on Thursday night.
On Tuesday, Boeheim's Army prevailed on the road over Hall In, 82-52. Former Syracuse basketball forward Cole Swider went off, tallying a game-high 28 points along with eight rebounds.
Swider and Boeheim's Army center Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu, who played collegiately at UT Arlington and Memphis, dominated Hall In during the first contest. Akobundu-Ehiogu was ferocious in the paint and on the glass, finishing with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
In the first game, Boeheim's Army power forward Jacorey Williams, wing Wes Johnson and power forward Chris McCullough were not available. Let's see if they are for Thursday evening's affair. On the flip side, Hall In's best player, guard Isaiah Whitehead, missed Tuesday's encounter due to an injury. I hope he's available on Thursday night.
What enabled Boeheim's Army to cruise to victory in game one was its shooting from the field as a whole, at 50.8 percent, along with its dominance in points off turnovers (24-4) and in paint points (38-20). If the Syracuse basketball alumni team wants to close out Hall In on Thursday, those statistical categories will once again prove important.
Plus, assuming Whitehead is back, Hall In will give it everything it has in game two, meaning that Boeheim's Army has to apply the same pressure as it did in the triumph on Tuesday. Should a game three be necessary, it will transpire on Friday, July 24, in Syracuse.
