Jamal Rule, a 2026 three-star running back from North Carolina, is set to visit Syracuse football again soon.
The 6-foot, 205-pound Rule is planning to take an official visit to the Orange during the weekend that begins on May 30, according to his bio on the 247Sports Web site and Rivals.com.
Rule, an All-State performer as a junior in the 2024 season, went on a spring visit to the 'Cuse in early April. He attends the Charlotte Christian School in Charlotte, N.C. According to his bio on the MaxPreps Web site, in 2024, Rule carried the ball 134 times for 1,236 yards, or 9.2 yards per carry, along with 15 touchdowns.
He also had 121 receiving yards and one score through the air. Rule was named to the 2024 All-State team from the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association.

The Orange staff, led by head coach Fran Brown, offered a scholarship to Rule on December 5, 2024. Per recruiting services, his full offer sheet also includes teams such as Boston College, Nebraska, N.C. State, Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Arkansas, Miami and Virginia Tech, among others.
When I wrote this article, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite had Rule at No. 747 overall, No. 43 at running back and No. 33 in North Carolina within the 2026 class. The industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking put him at No. 729 nationally, No. 40 at running back and No. 29 in North Carolina.
To date, Syracuse football coaches have secured at least 16 verbal pledges in their 2026 cycle. The 247Sports Composite currently ranks this Orange class at No. 10 across the country. The 'Cuse has one commitment from a 2026 running back.
In April of last year, three-star D’Antae Sheffey of Harrisburg High School in Harrisburg, Pa., verbally pledged to Syracuse football. The On3 Industry Ranking, at the time of this writing, had Sheffey at No. 731 overall, No. 42 at running back and No. 23 in Pennsylvania within his class.
Via the 247Sports Composite, he was No. 811 nationwide, No. 52 at running back and No. 28 in Pennsylvania.
