Big-time programs in the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Southeastern Conference are in pursuit of 2028 four-star running back Noble Williams from Louisiana, and in the early stages of his recruitment, Syracuse football is among those standing out to him.
The 6-foot, 203-pound Williams, a top-10 running back and top-200 national prospect in his class, per 247Sports, received a scholarship offer from the Orange this past February. He took an unofficial visit to the Hill last March amid spring practices that went well.

Williams has said in interviews that he loves Syracuse University and the environment there, and he's forming a strong bond with the SU football staff, led by running backs coach Dennis Thomas. Williams is discussing a game-day visit to the Orange this fall, although nothing has been finalized at this point, Inside the Loud House has learned.

Williams' full scholarship offer sheet, beyond the 'Cuse, includes teams such as Alabama, Florida State, Houston, Iowa State, LSU, Tennessee, Texas, UTSA, Louisiana Tech, Tulane, Lamar, Mississippi State and Miami, according to his Instagram page and recruiting services.

Suitors standing out to Williams include the Orange, Tennessee, LSU, Florida State, Auburn and Miami, I'm told. That's hefty competition for Syracuse football coaches, without question.
In the upcoming 2026 season, Williams will be a junior at Alexandria Senior High School in Alexandria, La. Per MaxPreps, as a sophomore in the 2025 campaign, he rushed 123 times for 662 yards and six scores on the ground.
Williams hauled in six passes for 45 yards, and he also had 122 kickoff return yards. Last year, Alexandria went 9-3 overall; Williams missed several games due to an injury.
Within the 2028 class, Williams' highest national rankings come courtesy of 247Sports, which places him at No. 154 overall, No. 10 at running back and No. 3 in Louisiana. The industry-generated 247Sports Composite has him at No. 238 nationally, No. 16 at running back and No. 4 in Louisiana.
Over at the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking, Williams is No. 321 overall, No. 20 at his position and No. 6 in Louisiana.
