International prospect Anna Smykovskaia recently took a visit to Syracuse women's basketball, a source confirmed to Inside the Loud House.
Smykovskaia is a 6-foot-5 center from Spain. In the 2025-26 season, she competed for the Segle XXI team in Spain’s LF2 league. The squad went 22-4 overall.
During the 2025-26 campaign for Segle XXI, the 17-year-old Smykovskaia appeared in 23 games while averaging 18.7 minutes, 7.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per contest. She connected on 45.0 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from the free-throw line.
Since she plays overseas, recruiting services don't have Smykovskaia in their national rankings, but based on reports I've read about her, Smykovskaia is trending as a five-star prospect.
Besides the 'Cuse, Smykovskaia recently took an official visit to UCLA, which went 37-1 overall this past season and won the national championship. Smykovskaia has also visited another Atlantic Coast Conference program, Notre Dame. Ohio State appears to be a significant contender for her, too.

Over the past two months, Smykovskaia has competed for Spain in a pair of international events. In July, she played in the 2026 FIBA U17 World Cup in Brno, Czechia. Spain won the silver medal, with Smykovskaia averaging 14.9 minutes, 4.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game while making 38.5 percent from the field and 30.0 percent from the free-throw line.
Last month, Smykovskaia helped lead Spain to the gold medal at the 2026 FIBA U18 EuroBasket in Stockholm, Sweden. She had five points, five rebounds, two assists and four steals in the final encounter. For the entire event, Smykovskaia averaged 18.8 minutes, 9.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while hitting on 44.4 percent from the field and 48.0 percent from the charity stripe.
The Orange coaching staff, like many of its peers around the country, is surveying international markets for players. SU's roster for the upcoming 2026-27 season includes freshman forward Célaine Ricco from Seine-et-Marne, France, and freshman guard Elif Çayir from Ankara, Turkey.
On an official visit to Syracuse women's basketball this weekend is 2027 point guard Josephine Pinnock, a 5-foot-10 prospect out of Christ the King High School in Middle Village, N.Y. In July, Pinnock also took an unofficial visit to the 'Cuse, around which time she received a scholarship offer from the Orange staff.
