Syracuse Football: Numerous experts project ‘Cuse to various bowl games
By Neil Adler
Syracuse football has one more 2023 regular-season game remaining, and the ‘Cuse has one more chance to get to six wins and qualify for post-season eligibility for the second year in a row.
This coming Saturday afternoon, the Orange (5-6, 1-6 in the ACC) will host Wake Forest (4-7, 1-6 in the ACC) at the JMA Wireless Dome.
The ‘Cuse will battle the Demon Deacons on the Hill with tight ends coach Nunzio Campanile serving as the Orange’s interim head coach, after SU Athletics announced this past Sunday that Dino Babers had been dismissed as the team’s head coach, effective immediately.
I’m curious to see how Syracuse football players will respond on Saturday, given that Babers will no longer be on the sidelines leading the ‘Cuse. In any event, the Orange still has something to play for, and ESPN’s Football Power Index (“FPI”) this week is giving the ‘Cuse a 69.0 percent chance to reach a bowl game in 2023.
Let’s check out some of the latest bowl projections for Syracuse football.
