Syracuse basketball 2024 four-star commit Elijah Moore and 2025 five-star recruiting target Tyler Jackson are among numerous highly rated prospects who are expected to compete at a showcase in New York City later this month.

The event is called the 2023 Hustle & Heart Classic, and it will take place on November 10 and November 11 at Baruch College in the Big Apple, with several teams that are part of the Atlanta-based professional league Overtime Elite planning to participate.

Per a report from college basketball insider Adam Zagoria, the Hustle & Heart Classic will feature two Overtime Elite squads from Atlanta, RWE and the City Reapers, along with two all-star teams from the Northeast called “Heart” and “Hustle.”

In addition to Elijah Moore and Jackson, Zagoria’s report said that 2024 five-star guard Ian Jackson, a former ‘Cuse recruit who is verbally committed to North Carolina, will also play in this showcase.

The 6-foot-4 Moore, a four-star shooting guard and a top-60 national prospect who verbally committed to the Orange in late January, transferred this off-season, along with Ian Jackson, from Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx, N.Y., to the Our Saviour Lutheran School in the Bronx.

Our Saviour Lutheran is operating as JellyFam within Overtime Elite, although Zagoria writes that in the 2023 Hustle & Heart Classic, both Moore and Jackson with suit up for the Northeast all-star squads.

Per the Overtime Elite Web site, two players on City Reapers are 2025 five-star point guard Tyler Jackson and 2026 combo guard Parker Robinson, who both have recruiting ties to the ‘Cuse.

The 6-foot-3 Jackson, a top-20 national prospect in his class, received a Syracuse basketball scholarship offer in late April. He has expressed interest in officially visiting the ‘Cuse in the future. He transferred to Overtime Elite from the Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore.

The 6-foot-5 Robinson, who moved to Overtime Elite from Good Counsel High School in Olney, Md., took an unofficial visit to the Hill in late August to play in the Orange’s annual Elite Camp.
