For a while now, 2025 four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony from New York City has said that he will take an official visit to Syracuse basketball.
That trip is now reportedly set. College basketball insider Adam Zagoria, one of the best in the business, said in a post on X on Wednesday night that the 6-foot-5 Anthony will make a visit to fellow Atlantic Coast Conference team Florida State this weekend and then visit the Orange next weekend.
Mike Waters of Syracuse.com reported that Anthony’s official visit to the ‘Cuse will transpire on October 20 to October 22.
Awesome, awesome, awesome news. Anthony has said in multiple interviews of late that he plans to officially visit Syracuse basketball, FSU, Indiana and Michigan.
The ‘Cuse coaching staff offered a scholarship to Kiyan Anthony, the son of Orange legend and long-time NBA star Carmelo Anthony, last November.
Syracuse basketball will soon welcome 2025 four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony to the Hill on a visit.
Anthony is a junior at the powerhouse Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y., which is a member of the loaded 10-team National Interscholastic Basketball Conference (“NIBC”).
His full offer sheet, besides the Orange, includes West Virginia, UCF, Michigan, Maryland, Dayton, Florida State, Pittsburgh, Albany, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Seton Hall, UMass, Providence, Memphis, Bryant, George Mason and Manhattan.
This spring and summer, Kiyan Anthony was a standout performer on the AAU circuit while competing for the Baltimore-based Team Melo in Nike’s EYBL league.
As a result, his offer list has considerably grown, and he has seen his 2025 national rankings soar. At this juncture, numerous recruiting services rate Kiyan Anthony as a top-40 overall player, a top-10 shooting guard and the No. 1 prospect in New York within the junior class.
Not too long ago, 2025 five-star point guard Tyler Jackson told On3 national recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw that he planned to officially visit Syracuse basketball in the near future along with Anthony.
The 6-foot-3 Jackson, a top-20 national prospect in this class per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, received a scholarship offer from the Orange in late April. He is spending his junior year at the Atlanta-based professional league Overtime Elite, after shining as a sophomore for the Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore.
In early July, Jackson helped lead the Baltimore-based Team Thrill to the 16U championship in the Under Armour Association league (“UAA”) on the AAU circuit.
I’ll continue to monitor whether Jackson ends up taking an official visit to Central New York at the same time as Kiyan Anthony.
