Syracuse football 2024 four-star commits and a ‘Cuse 2024 recruiting target have put forth some massive games lately.

Those high-school players are four-star commit Jamie Tremble, a wide receiver/tight end, four-star commit Jakhari Williams, a quarterback, and Orange target Maurice Williams Jr., a quarterback.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Tremble and the 6-foot-3, 190-pound Jakhari Williams both hail from Georgia, while the 6-foot, 194-pound Maurice Williams Jr. is from New Jersey.

Tremble verbally committed to Syracuse football in mid-June. Jakhari Williams gave a verbal pledge to the team in late June.

Maurice Williams Jr., meanwhile, has received interest from Syracuse football. Last weekend, as the ‘Cuse defeated Army at the JMA Wireless Dome, he was in attendance while on an unofficial visit to the Hill.

A Syracuse football recruit and two four-star commits are having great senior seasons.

Last Friday, per a post on his X page, Tremble was mighty impressive. He caught eight passes for a whopping 201 yards and three touchdowns.

In that contest, per the MaxPreps Web site, Tremble’s team, The Wesleyan School in Peachtree Corners, Ga., defeated Gilmer High School in Ellijay, Ga., by a final count of 50-28.

Jakhari Williams is a standout for the First Presbyterian Day School in Macon, Ga. In a recent game, First Presbyterian knocked off the Pinewood Christian Academy in Bellville, Ga., by a score of 28-14.

According to MaxPreps, Williams threw for 139 yards and one score through the air. On the ground, he rushed for 143 yards and one touchdown. So far in his senior year, MaxPreps says that Williams is averaging 119.3 rushing yards per game, as well as 190.3 passing yards per contest with four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Maurice Williams Jr. is putting up video game-like numbers to date in his senior season for Orange High School in Orange, N.J. As I noted in another recent column, in early September, he accounted for seven total touchdowns, six passing and one rushing, in one encounter.

In a recent Orange High School 50-37 victory over Barringer High School in Newark, N.J., Williams went off. He completed 24-of-36 passes for 326 yards and five touchdowns, per NJ.com. He also rushed 11 times for 100 yards on the ground.

To date in the 2023 term, Williams has thrown for 1,465 yards, with a stellar 22 passing touchdowns against just two interceptions. On the ground, he’s been equally as good. Williams has rushed 37 times for 350 yards and three scores.

Williams holds scholarship offers from Temple and Long Island University, along with interest from a variety of college squads, including the ‘Cuse.
