Syracuse basketball 2024 four-star commit Elijah Moore was one of the best all-around performers in grassroots hoops this spring and summer, according to experts.

The 6-foot-4 Moore, one of the top shooting guards around the country in the rising-senior class, put up some mighty big numbers in recent months while starring for the 17U team of the Bronx, N.Y.-based Wiz Kids in the Adidas 3SSB league.

When the 3SSB league held its season-ending playoffs last month in Rock Hill, S.C., Moore dropped games of 20 points, 30 points and 30 points, while draining a boatload of 3-pointers.

But Elijah Moore was also stellar during other 3SSB sessions this spring, including during NCAA live periods with Orange coaches in attendance. During the most recent 3SSB season, he averaged 19.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest, and he hit on an impressive 46.3 percent from beyond the arc, per the analysts and scouts with The Circuit.

Syracuse basketball 2024 four-star commit Elijah Moore is an elite long-range shooter.

Not too long ago, The Circuit handed out various awards following the conclusion of the latest 3SSB season. The Circuit named Moore its offensive MVP, and he was also placed on the All-3SSB first team.

One of Moore’s teammates on the Wiz Kids is 2024 five-star guard Ian Jackson, a former ‘Cuse recruiting target who is verbally committed to North Carolina. The Circuit also put Jackson on its All-3SSB first squad, after he averaged 19.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.3 blocks per affair.

In late January, Moore verbally committed to Syracuse basketball over other finalists Alabama, Arkansas, Miami and Oklahoma State.

He is a top-60 national prospect in the 2024 cycle, according to both 247Sports and Rivals.com, although I continue to maintain that Elijah Moore is supremely under-ranked in his class.

In late July, Synergy Basketball released some data on Twitter that spoke to how excellent Moore was on the AAU circuit over the past couple of months in the 3SSB’s 17U division.

Per Synergy Basketball, Moore ranked No. 1 in offensive efficiency among qualified scorers (a minimum of 12 possessions per game), as he averaged roughly 1.13 points per possession. He also proved the top-ranked most productive jump shooter in this division, as Moore made 62 total jump shots.

In the 2022-23 campaign, as a junior for Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx, Elijah Moore received inclusion on the New York state Catholic High School Athletic Association “AA” All-League first team.

Moore is one of two members in the Orange’s 2024 cycle to date, as four-star power forward Donnie Freeman from Washington, D.C., pledged to the ‘Cuse in May over Alabama, Iowa, Texas and Georgia Tech.

At this juncture, the Syracuse basketball 2024 class is rated in the top 10 nationally, according to multiple recruiting services.
