A three-star offensive lineman and a three-star defensive lineman in the 2024 class are planning to visit Syracuse football, according to media reports.

Willie Goodacre, a 2024 three-star offensive tackle, said via Twitter that his top six consists of the Orange, Arizona State, Tulane, Houston, Kansas and California. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Goodacre is a junior at Guyer High School in Denton, Texas.

Per articles from recruiting analyst Charles Kang of The Juice Online and SyracuseOnSI publisher Mike McAllister, Goodacre will take an official visit to Syracuse football during the weekend of June 16.

Meanwhile, Kang reports that 2024 three-star defensive tackle Jowhar Franklin Jr. plans to take a visit to the ‘Cuse at some point in June.

A few days ago, the 6-foot-6, 300-pound Franklin disclosed on Twitter a top three of Clemson, Ohio State and Tennessee, but reports suggest that his recruitment remains open. Franklin has most recently attended the John Curtis Christian School in River Ridge, La.

Syracuse football coaches have positive traction with two 2024 three-star linemen.

The Orange coaching staff offered a scholarship to Goodacre in January of this year. According to recruiting services, he holds around 20 offers. His offer sheet also includes BYU, Memphis, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri and Nebraska, among others.

At the time of this writing, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rated Goodacre at No. 1,136 nationally in the 2024 cycle. The industry-generated On Industry Ranking had him at No. 1,060 overall. Rivals.com rates Goodacre as the No. 55 offensive tackle across the country in this class.

Goodacre tells Kang that he speaks with Syracuse football offensive line coach Steve Farmer multiple times a week. “I for sure see him as someone I could be playing for in the future,” Goodacre says of Farmer.

According to The Juice Online piece, Goodacre also plans to take an official visit to Kansas later this month.

Per Rivals.com, Franklin holds more than 25 offers, with the Orange offering him this past May, he said on Twitter.

His offer sheet also includes Miami, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, Clemson, Auburn, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Southern California, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, LSU, UConn, Colorado, Cincinnati and Baylor, among others.

On3 ranks Franklin as the No. 88 defensive lineman nationwide in the 2024 cycle.

Syracuse football has made the list cuts for numerous 2024 targets of late. The Orange is in the top 13 of three-star athlete/wide receiver Jay’Quan Bostic, the top five of offensive tackle Terez Davis, the top seven of four-star tight end/wide receiver Korey “KJ” Duff Jr., the top 10 of four-star wide receiver Jason Robinson, the top five of three-star linebacker Fatim Diggs, and the top eight of four-star running back DeJuan Williams.
