Syracuse Basketball: Top showings by 4-star, 5-star targets in Nike’s EYBL

Syracuse basketball four-star and five-star recruits in the 2024 and 2025 classes suited up on the AAU circuit this past weekend, and these targets put forth some nice outings.

From Friday to Sunday, Nike’s EYBL league held its third spring session at the Southwest Athletic Center in Carrollton, Texas.

Courtesy of the EYBL Web site, we’re providing statistics for these various Orange recruits. All of the prospects noted here hold scholarship offers from the ‘Cuse, although one player noted below, 2024 four-star big man Donnie Freeman, gave a verbal commitment to Syracuse basketball last week.

17U Division

Jalil Bethea
The 6-foot-4 Bethea is a four-star combo guard in the 2024 cycle who attends Archbishop Wood Catholic High School in Warminster, Pa., and runs with the Philadelphia-based Team Final.

Game One: 32 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block
Game Two: 11 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals
Game Three: 14 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals
Game Four: 23 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal

Caleb Williams
The 6-foot-7 Williams is a four-star wing in the 2024 class from the Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., and the Washington-based Team Takeover.

Game One: 2 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 steal
Game Two: 5 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists
Game Three: 3 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist
Game Four: 2 points, 3 assists, 1 block, 1 steal

Donnie Freeman
The 6-foot-9 Freeman, who verbally committed to Syracuse basketball last week, is a four-star power forward in the 2024 cycle from St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C., and the D.C.-based Team Takeover.

Game One: 6 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal
Game Two: 8 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal
Game Three: 13 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist
Game Four: 6 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal

Patrick Ngongba II
The 6-foot-10 Ngongba is a four-star center in the 2024 class from St. Paul VI Catholic High School in Chantilly, Va., and the Washington, D.C.-based Team Takeover.

Game One: 10 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 steal
Game Two: 6 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block
Game Three: 10 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist
Game Four: 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block

Mikey Lewis
The 6-foot-3 Lewis is a four-star point guard in the 2024 class out of Accelerated Prep in Lakewood, Colo., and the Oakland, Calif.-based Oakland Soldiers.

Game One: 29 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists
Game Two: 26 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals
Game Three: 11 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals
Game Four: 6 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, 1 steal

Jerry Easter II
The 6-foot-4 Easter is a four-star point guard in the 2025 cycle who most recently attended the Emmanuel Christian School in Toledo, Ohio, and competes for the Columbus, Ohio-based All Ohio Red.

Game One: 9 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal
Game Two: 6 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal

16U Division

Kiyan Anthony
The 6-foot-5 Anthony is a four-star shooting guard in the 2025 class who is with Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y., and the Baltimore-based Team Melo.

Game One: 12 points, 1 rebound, 3 steals
Game Two: 3 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal
Game Three: 7 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal
Game Four: 16 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, 1 steal

Darius Adams
The 6-foot-3 Adams is a five-star combo guard in the 2025 cycle who goes to Manasquan High School in Manasquan, N.J., and plays for the Bronx, N.Y.-based PSA Cardinals.

Game One: 20 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals
Game Two: 7 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals
Game Three: 13 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists

Cam Ward
The 6-foot-7 Ward is a four-star wing in the 2025 class out of Largo High School in Upper Marlboro, Md., and the Oxon Hill, Md.-based Team Durant.

Game Two: 8 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists
Game Three: 25 points, 12 rebounds

Sadiq White
The 6-foot-8 White is a four-star forward in the 2025 cycle who attends Myers Park High School in Charlotte, N.C., and runs with the Charlotte-based Team United.

Game One: 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks
Game Two: 18 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists
Game Three: 8 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks, 3 steals
