Syracuse football has made the top five of 2024 three-star linebacker Fatim Diggs from New Jersey, and he said in a recent interview that he’s eyeing a potential official visit to the Hill at some point in the future.
Via Twitter, the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Diggs recently said that his top five consists of the Orange, Maryland, West Virginia, Ole Miss and Penn State.
In May of 2022, Syracuse football coaches offered a scholarship to Diggs. The month prior to that, in April of last year, he went on an unofficial visit to the ‘Cuse campus.
Diggs is a standout junior at Eastside High School in Camden, N.J. At the time of this writing, On3’s recruiting prediction machine had the ‘Cuse in the No. 3 position for Diggs, behind Temple and Penn State. Obviously, this is going to change, since Temple isn’t even among his five finalists.

Multiple recruiting Web sites rate him as a three-star prospect in the 2024 cycle. When I penned this column, 247Sports placed Diggs as the No. 131 linebacker and the No. 34 player in New Jersey.
The industry-generated 247Sports Composite, at the time of this writing, ranked him at No. 1,267 nationally, No. 120 at linebacker and No. 30 in New Jersey within the junior class.
In a recent interview with SyracuseOnSI publisher Mike McAllister, Diggs said that while he doesn’t have a date lined up, he does plan to take an official visit to the ‘Cuse.
As we noted in another recent column, 2024 three-star linebacker Jayden Brown will officially visit Syracuse football from June 16 to June 18, he said on Twitter.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Brown is a junior at the Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, N.J. He holds more than a dozen offers and picked up an Orange scholarship offer in late April of 2022.
