By Neil Adler
One of the top prospects in the state of New Jersey within the junior cycle will take an official visit to Syracuse football in mid-June.
Jayden Brown, a three-star linebacker in the 2024 class, said via Twitter that he will officially visit the Orange campus from June 16 to June 18, which is great to hear.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Brown is a junior at the Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, N.J.
According to recruiting services, he has amassed more than a dozen scholarship offers from a range of high-major programs. Per the 247Sports Web site, âCuse coaches offered Brown in late April of 2022.
Syracuse football, this June, will host a 2024 three-star LB on an official visit.
Per his Twitter page, Brown did take an unofficial visit to the Orange in late March of this year. The âCuse coaching staff getting him back on campus for an official is highly encouraging for Syracuse football in Brownâs recruiting process.
Besides the Orange, his offer sheet also includes teams such as West Virginia, Purdue, Temple, Akron, Duke, Maryland, Boston College, UConn, Liberty, Monmouth, Toledo and Coastal Carolina.
For what itâs worth, when I penned this column, the On3 recruiting prediction machine had Syracuse football in the No. 1 position for Brown, followed by Boston College, Maryland and Duke.
