Not too long ago, Syracuse basketball 2025 recruiting target Jerry Easter II, a 2025 prolific-scoring guard from Ohio, put up a stat line that you won’t see all that often in high-school hoops.

According to an article by Thomas Frey on the MaxPreps Web site, in a recent 81-58 win by Easter’s team, the Emmanuel Christian School in Toledo, Ohio, over Whiteford High School out of Ottawa Lake, Mich., the 6-foot-4 Easter compiled a quadruple-double.

Easter registered 40 points, 13 rebounds, a ridiculous 12 steals and 10 assists in Emmanuel Christian’s victory against Whiteford. I also saw online that Easter reportedly had three blocks in this game.

Rated as a top-50 national prospect in the sophomore class by multiple recruiting services, Easter received a scholarship offer from the Orange coaching staff last July. He said in a recent interview that his family is close with ‘Cuse hoops legend Derrick Coleman.

Syracuse basketball faces steep competition for 2025 four-star guard Jerry Easter II.

While he’s only a sophomore in high school, and college coaches can’t initiate direct communication with 2025 players until June 15 of this year, Easter’s list of offers is already robust.

Besides Syracuse basketball, his offer sheet includes Louisville, Memphis, Michigan State, Ohio State, Mississippi State, Mike Hopkins-led Washington, UCLA, Cincinnati, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Arizona State, Missouri, New Mexico State, Bowling Green, Morgan State, Northern Illinois, Oakland, Toledo and Cleveland State.

Easter, who was an All-American as a freshman for Emmanuel Christian, has taken an unofficial visit to Ohio State. A recent story from Rivals.com national analyst Travis Graf notes that Easter may be eyeing unofficial visits to UCLA and Michigan State.

Certainly, we’ll monitor whether Easter elects to take a future visit to the Hill. He is rated as high as No. 27 nationally in the 2025 cycle by On3.

Personally, I think that Easter’s 2025 national rankings are too low, but he has plenty of time to continue climbing on up. Recording a quadruple-double is eye-popping for sure.

As far as I can tell, Syracuse basketball coaches have offered scholarships to five players, including Easter, in the sophomore class.

Others are four-star wing Efeosa Oliogu out of the United Scholastic Academy in Toronto, four-star guard Darius Adams with Manasquan High School in Manasquan, N.J., underrated wing Brandon Stores Jr. from the St. Raymond High School for Boys in the Bronx, N.Y., and the son of Orange legend Carmelo Anthony, four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony out of Christ the King Regional High School in Middle Village, N.Y.
