Syracuse football starting running back Sean Tucker (#34) has announced that he will declare for the 2023 NFL Draft after three seasons with the Orange. Tucker has had an incredible career at Syracuse, where he would run for 27 touchdowns and 3,182 yards rushing, and would also catch four touchdowns and 622 receiving yards.

So based on his performance and stats, where does Sean Tucker rank in terms of running backs heading into the NFL Draft? Based on his performance over the past few seasons, it might be possible to see Tucker get drafted as an early second-round to late first-round pick.

Some teams in the NFL will look at how Tucker’s speed, agility, and hands match up with the rest of the other possible rookies coming in. Tucker will need to show his skills off at the combine and show why he was a key piece for the Orange this season.

Sean Tucker will be going up against some tough competition when it comes to this running back class, going up against guys like Texas’ Bijan Robinson, Alabama’s Jahmyr Gibbs, and Michigan’s Blake Corum, who was one of the best in college football this season.

Syracuse football running back Sean Tucker will play in the NFL in the near future.

Tucker will need to prove that he has the ability and skills to be a factor for NFL teams that need help at that position, with teams like the Los Angeles Rams, the Buffalo Bills, the Seattle Seahawks, and the Baltimore Ravens.

The NFL Draft combine is where he will need to prove himself and teams will be looking at him as a guy who knows how to lead a team based on what he did for the Orange, where he was breaking records, helping his team in must-win situations, and being a player who the team could rely on.

Sean Tucker will most likely (as of now) be an early second to late first-round pick based on what he has shown this season, but we will have to wait and see where this Syracuse football star lands in the 2023 NFL Draft.
