Syracuse football (4-0, 2-0 in the ACC) is back at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday, as they take on the Wagner Seahawks (0-3, 0-1 in the NEC) at 5 pm eastern time.

The Orange is seeking its fifth straight win, coming off a thriller against the Virginia Cavaliers at the Dome on Friday. Here are the top three players to watch for Syracuse football in the game against Wagner.

This trio of Syracuse football players is key to the Orange taking down Wagner.

Quarterback Garrett Shrader #6

Garrett Shrader has been one of the main reasons that the Syracuse Orange have been undefeated so far this season. Shrader went 22 of 33 for 277 yards and one interception against the Virginia Cavaliers, as he will look to get back on track by surveying the field, finding the open man, and making plays throwing the ball and thinking with his feet.

Garrett Shrader will have to be ready to not only throw the ball, but also be ready to run with the ball as well, as he had 14 carries for 11 yards and one touchdown run against Virginia. He is a dual-threat quarterback, who when he has the room, is not afraid to run for the end zone himself, as he and Sean Tucker will be keys to the Syracuse offense in this game.

Running Back Sean Tucker #34

Sean Tucker has been the main ball carrier for the Orange, ever since his incredible runs from last season. Tucker currently has 87 yards for 314 yards and two touchdowns, as he will look to get back on track after the slow game he had against Virginia, where he only ran the ball 21 times for 60 yards of offense on the ground.

Tucker will have to come into this game against Wagner ready to run the ball, take it from one end zone to the other, and fight for extra yards to help the Orange win this game and prepare for the schedule ahead.

Place Kicker Andre Szmyt #91

Andre Szmyt is one of the main reasons why this Syracuse Orange team is heading into this game with four straight wins. Szmyt would hit five field goals, including the 31-yard game-winner, that would help the Orange past Virginia in a 22-20 thriller at the Dome.

Szmyt has been on point for the Orange this season, as he has gone nine of 10 for field goals and 14 for 14 this season on extra points. He will look to keep his somewhat perfect season going, as he will look to make sure every kick counts to help the Orange win against Wagner, if the offense is not on point.

These three players will be ones to watch for the Syracuse Orange as they take on the Wagner Seahawks at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday at 5 pm eastern time on the ACC Network Extra and on ESPN+.
