Syracuse football has a commitment from three-star quarterback LaNorris Sellers as part of the Orange’s 2023 recruiting class.

The 6-foot-2 Sellers is a senior at South Florence High School in Florence, S.C. Both ESPN and On3 have rated him as a top-15 quarterback across the country in the 2023 cycle.

One of his teammates at South Florence High School is a 2025 wide receiver by the name of Jayden Sellers. This 5-foot-11 Sellers, a sophomore at South Florence, is the younger brother of LaNorris Sellers.

In late June, Jayden Sellers said via Twitter that he had received his first scholarship offer from a college team, and that squad is – you guessed it – the ‘Cuse.

Syracuse football has gotten involved with 2025 WR Jayden Sellers early on.

To date, I’m not seeing any additional scholarship offers noted by Jayden Sellers on his Twitter page, although I’m sure that he will receive many, many more offers.

The younger Sellers brother did disclose via social media that he was invited by the Orange to attend the team’s 2022 season opener this coming Saturday night at home versus Louisville.

It certainly would be excellent to see both Jayden Sellers and his older brother, LaNorris, on the Hill this Saturday for the squad’s Atlantic Coast Conference clash with the Cardinals.

We’ll definitely continue to monitor Jayden Sellers’ recruitment, including what other scholarship offers he ends up landing, as well as 2025 national rankings he may ultimately obtain from various recruiting Web sites.

According to the 247Sports Web site, at this juncture, Syracuse football coaches have offered scholarships to three other wide receivers in the 2025 class. They are Cortez Mills, De’zie Jones and Hardley Gilmore.

The 6-foot-1 Mills, out of Homestead Senior High School in Homestead, Fla., was offered by the ‘Cuse this past March. He is rated as four stars, No. 37 nationally and No. 9 at wide receiver, per 247Sports.

The 5-foot-11 Jones was offered a scholarship by the Orange in November of 2021. He attends DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, N.J.

The 6-foot-1 Gilmore picked up a Syracuse football offer in July of 2021. He goes to Pahokee High School in Pahokee, Fla.
