Nike’s EYBL circuit in grassroots basketball recently wrapped up its summer session, and Syracuse basketball 2023 four-star priority recruiting target Reid Ducharme earned a ton of high praise from national analysts and scouts for his latest performances.

The 6-foot-6 shooting guard, a top-100 prospect in the rising-senior class per some recruiting services, suits up for Boston Amateur Basketball Club on the AAU circuit.

His squad didn’t qualify for the annual Peach Jam tournament, but the Boston Amateur Basketball Club still played a bunch of EYBL contests in recent days in North Augusta, S.C., where Peach Jam took place.

According to Rivals.com national analyst Travis Graf, Ducharme averaged 21.6 points per encounter in North Augusta while connecting on 44 percent from the field, 35 percent from beyond the arc and 81 percent from the free-throw line.

The Boston Amateur Basketball Club, by the way, went 5-2 in this latest EYBL session, which occurred during an NCAA live period. As we previously noted, Orange head coach Jim Boeheim and several ‘Cuse assistants were in attendance for many of Ducharme’s games in North Augusta.

Syracuse basketball remains in pursuit of four-star guard Reid Ducharme.

In June, Ducharme took an official visit to the Hill. He’s also officially visited both Xavier and Penn State. Our sense has been that those three schools could be considered the top-three contenders in Ducharme’s recruitment.

However, a tweet from Pro Insight director of scouting Andrew Slater says that Ducharme is “open to new schools,” which I find interesting at this stage in his recruiting process.

I’m not in Ducharme’s inner circle, but one thought I had is that he has proven stellar of late in grassroots basketball, and maybe it’s possible for some big-time new suitors to begin pursuing him. We’ll see.

Several recent media reports have suggested that Ducharme is eyeing a commitment announcement before his senior season at the Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H., gets underway.

Besides Syracuse basketball, Ducharme has received scholarship offers from teams including Virginia Tech, Miami, Xavier, Rhode Island, Northwestern, Columbia, Connecticut, Iowa, Providence, Penn State, Creighton, DePaul, Stanford, Harvard, Brown and UMass.

In the most recent round of EYBL affairs, Ducharme was deemed a stock-rising prospect by Graf. The Orange recruit put up games of 42 points, 28 points, 22 points and 21 points among the seven he played in amid Peach Jam during the live period.

Graf noted that when Ducharme tallied a massive 42 points, he hit on 15-of-25 from the field as a whole and 6-of-11 from 3-point land. The Rivals.com national analyst wrote that Ducharme’s “jumper looked effortless with beautiful mechanics on each rep.”
