Syracuse basketball has either offered a scholarship to, or shown interest in, a handful of top-flight prospects in the 2024 recruiting cycle. And a new set of national rankings for his class features many of these Orange recruiting targets.

The highest-rated of these ‘Cuse prospects is 2024 five-star power forward Derik Queen from Baltimore, who checks in at No. 3 nationally in recently unveiled new ratings of the top-75 players in this class found on theseasonticket.com.

The 6-foot-8 Queen, who as a sophomore is competing for the powerhouse Montverde Academy in Montverde, Fla., landed an Orange offer last October. According to recruiting services, besides the ‘Cuse, he holds about 10 other offers from a range of high-majors, including Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Auburn, Maryland, Texas, Virginia Tech and Georgetown.

Not far behind Queen in these rankings is 2024 five-star point guard Elliot Cadeau, who attends Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, N.J. The 6-foot-1 Cadeau, who is No. 5 overall, was offered by Syracuse basketball last November. ESPN rates him the No. 1 point guard in 2024.

Let’s take a look at other highly rated Syracuse basketball 2024 targets.

The Orange coaching staff is reportedly displaying interest in 2024 five-star wing Vyctorius Miller, who is out of Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine, Calif.

The 6-foot-5 Miller, listed as either a shooting guard or a small forward depending on the recruiting service, is situated at No. 12 nationally. Others vying for Miller include Oregon, UCLA, Kansas, Arizona, Wake Forest and Georgetown.

In mid-December, Syracuse basketball offered 2024 four-star center Yves Missi, a fast-rising big man who is No. 28 across the country in these new ratings.

The 6-foot-11 Missi, who attends the West Nottingham Academy in Colora, Md., has offers from other teams such as UCLA, St. John’s and DePaul.

Donnie Freeman, a 2024 four-star power forward, is No. 29. The 6-foot-9 Freeman is from St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C., and was offered by the ‘Cuse coaching staff at the team’s annual Elite Camp this past August.

Finally, according to recruiting services and reports, Orange coaches have shown interest in 2024 four-star point guard Curtis Givens III, who is No. 51 in the rankings.

The 6-foot-2 Givens goes to the Memphis University School in Memphis, Tenn., and his offer sheet features squads like Memphis, Tennessee, Maryland, Georgetown, Illinois, St. John’s and Florida.
