Syracuse, N.Y., is the home of the Carrier Dome, which hosts various Syracuse Orange sports and other events. Syracuse and the Central New York region are also the home of some great local food. When people visit Syracuse, many want a taste of the area. Many locals have certain foods they love that enhance their experience.

Now picture this: you are sitting in the Dome watching Syracuse basketball or Syracuse football playing, and you are hungry.

Recently, I ran a poll on Twitter to see what local food item people would most like to see added to the Dome concessions options. Twitter limits poll options to four choices, so I chose Tully’s Tenders, salt potatoes, riggies, and spiedies. The results are below but it looks like CNY does love the best tenders on Earth.

What food would you like added to the Carrier Dome menu for Syracuse Orange and other events?

I hear people discuss the food and drinks options all the time. I myself love a cold Mountain Dew, a Dome Dog and/or occasionally a sausage, and I used to also love nachos when they had them in a souvenir container.

But I do sometimes wonder about not only what other local foods I would buy if I saw them available at the Dome, but also what a great opportunity it would be to help a local business. I do love all the foods mentioned and often wondered especially with Tully’s Tenders why you can get them at the fair but not the Dome. Riggies might be the most complicated of them all, salt potatoes would be amazing especially if they were similar to the Loaded Salts at Bull and Bear, and spiedies actually sound like a fun one that would be easy to prepare and consume.

So as I posted this poll on Twitter and not only asked for votes but feedback. So here are a few of the tweet responses I received in response as promised if I did this post. By the way, I am fairly certain that 183 votes might also be the most responses I have received in a poll posted on social media as well so thank you to all who participated.

And there were even a couple of write-in votes as well that would be worthy of mentioning and adding as well.
