Multiple Syracuse basketball five-star targets and their teams are expected to suit up at a tournament to transpire near the beach in Delaware toward the end of the year.

Not too long ago, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame revealed the line-up for a regional event known as Hoophall East presented by SoDel Concepts.

The three-day event, from December 27 to December 29, will take place at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes, Del., according to announcements from the tournament’s organizers.

Hoophall East, by the way, is part of several regional events, according to the Hall of Fame, with the others being Hoophall Central presented by Sanford Health, Hoophall South presented by Walmart and Hoophall West.

Among the teams playing in Hoophall East are Camden High School in Camden, N.J., the Imhotep Institute Charter High School in Philadelphia, and Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, N.J.

Several Syracuse basketball prospects are competing in Hoophall East.

One of the stars for Camden High School is 2023 five-star point guard D.J. Wagner, the consensus No. 1 junior who was offered by the Orange at the team’s annual Elite Camp this past August.

In Hoophall East, Camden High School will play Archbishop Wood Catholic High School out of Warminster, Pa., on Monday, Dec. 27.

The Imhotep Institute Charter High School is led by 2023 five-star small forward Justin Edwards, a top-10 prospect in his class who received a ‘Cuse offer over the summer.

On Wednesday, Dec. 29, Edwards’ team will suit up versus St. Paul VI Catholic High School from Chantilly, Va., at the Delaware event.

Also on December 29, Bergen Catholic High School will square off with the Bishop Walsh School in Cumberland, Md.

One of the stand-outs for Bergen Catholic High School is 2024 five-star point guard Elliot Cadeau, who picked up a scholarship offer from Syracuse basketball coaches in early November.

Cadeau is a top-10 player in his cycle, and some recruiting services rank him as the No. 1 point guard across the country in the 2024 class.

Also suiting up in Hoophall East are Roselle Catholic High School in Roselle, N.J., and the AZ Compass Prep School in Chandler, Ariz.

Former Orange 2023 five-star target Simeon Wilcher, a combo guard who has committed to North Carolina, is on the Roselle Catholic High School roster.

And the AZ Compass Prep School features 2022 four-star guard Chance Westry, a former ‘Cuse prospect who is committed to Auburn.
