It’s been nearly a month since Syracuse basketball offered fast-rising 2022 big man Dominick Barlow, and this young man’s stock has absolutely skyrocketed of late on a national scale.

Of course, this means more scholarship offers and more competition for the Orange to win out in the recruiting battle for the 6-foot-9 forward.

As a member of the New York City-based NY Renaissance, the four-star Barlow has played exceptionally well of late in AAU competitions, most notably the 2021 Peach Jam tournament in North Augusta, S.C., according to national recruiting analysts.

The offers are pouring in, and Barlow is understandably seeing his national ratings within the 2022 class move up. I’ve seen more than one recruiting insider say that Barlow will ultimately evolve into a top-50 player in this cycle, and I totally agree.

Let’s review the latest 2022 rankings for Syracuse basketball prospect Dominick Barlow.

Rivals.com, one of the main recruiting services, updated its top-150 player ratings for the 2022 cycle a couple of days ago, and Barlow made one of the biggest climbs in the entire class.

In fact, he went from being unranked to checking in at No. 61 nationally, as well as a four-star player. Rivals.com has Barlow as the No. 16 small forward, too.

As of Monday night, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rates Barlow as four stars, No. 82 overall, No. 14 at power forward and No. 1 in New Jersey.

The 247Sports recruiting service, meanwhile, has him as three stars, No. 145 across the country, No. 27 at power forward and No. 1 in New Jersey. When 247Sports refreshes its national rankings in the near future, I can pretty much guarantee that Barlow’s ratings will significantly improve.

Most recently, Barlow suited up for Dumont High School in Dumont, N.J., but he will play in the upcoming campaign for Bridgton Academy in Bridgton, Maine.

An extremely versatile prospect in the 2022 class, Barlow has a list of offers that is nearing 20, if it hasn’t already exceeded that amount.

Other offers have arrived from teams such as Kansas, Illinois, Ohio State, Iowa, St. John’s, Florida, South Carolina, Iona, Pittsburgh, Southern California, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Providence, Nebraska, DePaul, Xavier and Western Kentucky.

There is some chatter that Orange coaches may be trying to get Barlow on the Hill for a visit, and I’m hopeful that he does make a trip to Central New York.
