Our football guru is getting poetic once again in previewing Syracuse football at Louisville.

The Syracuse football Orange play at the Cardinals of Louisville

November 13 with the time and channel still left to fill

I didn’t have a lot to say about this game

And I hope this limerick you won’t find lame

But I hope as the game ends, Charlotte is an obtainable goal still

How about some filler since a limerick is only 5 lines long?

  • Louisville leads the head-to-head series, 12-7.
  • Louisville has dominated the Orange the last two years, including a 30-0 shut out last season.
  • In their 2020 battle, Syracuse football really struggled on offense, to the tune of 137 yards of total offense, seven first downs, 1-of-10 on third down and 0-of-2 on fourth down, according to ESPN. The Orange only held the ball on offense for about 18 minutes of a 60-minute game, which is dreadful.
  • Per cuse.com, the November 13 match-up will be the third-straight year that Syracuse football is squaring off with the Cardinals away from Central New York.
  • Former Syracuse football running back Jawhar Jordan recently used the transfer portal to head to Louisville.
  • The Loaded Salts at Bull and Bear Roadhouse are so good. 😊
  • Former Louisville Cardinals quarterback Lamar Jackson, who these days stars for the Baltimore Ravens, will likely have a statue done of a leap he made over a former Orange defender. When are the Eric Dungey and Riley Dixon hurdling players statues coming out if this is true?
  • The Louisville football stadium used to be named after the pizza chain Papa John’s but is now just called Cardinal Stadium after the founder of the chain made a racist slur during a conference call.
  • Louisville actually announced their intention to leave the Big East before they even had an official invite from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
  • In the ACC’s pre-season media poll ahead of the 2021 campaign, the Cardinals were picked to finish No. 6 in the Atlantic Division. Syracuse football was placed at No. 7 in this division.

Let’s Go Orange!!!!

dark. Next. Syracuse football should schedule these 3 Big Ten and Pac-12 teams
