Syracuse basketball coaches are showing interest in one of the premier big men within the 2023 class, according to multiple reports.
Four-star Aaron Bradshaw is a 7-foot sophomore for Camden High School in Camden, N.J. He runs on the AAU circuit with the New Jersey Scholars Elite, a squad based in Millburn, N.J., and Bradshaw previously competed for Roselle Catholic High School in Roselle, N.J.
A teammate of his at Camden High School is five-star point guard D.J. Wagner, who is the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2023 class. Orange coaches have reportedly reached out regarding Wagner, too, as we detailed in a recent column.
Bradshaw is deemed one of the top centers around the country in the 2023 cycle. As college coaches were recently able to start making direct contact with high-school players in this class, the floodgates have opened up for Bradshaw as far as new scholarship offers and interest from big-time, high-major programs.
Syracuse basketball is in communication with a stellar 2023 big man.
According to recent tweets from national analysts and Bradshaw’s bios on recruiting Web sites, his offer list includes 2021 NCAA Tournament Final Four participant UCLA, Miami, Maryland, LSU, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Kansas State, Nebraska, Rutgers, TCU, Texas A&M and Temple, among others.
Additionally, besides the ‘Cuse, teams to display interest in Bradshaw include 2021 national champion Baylor, Florida State, Illinois, Connecticut, Memphis and West Virginia.
He is rated as four stars by 247Sports and Rivals.com. When Rivals.com recently updated its national rankings for the 2023 class, Bradshaw checked in at No. 19 overall.
The 247Sports recruiting service has Bradshaw at No. 40 nationally, No. 3 at center and No. 5 in New Jersey. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Bradshaw ends up as a five-star, top-20 prospect within his cycle, according to all of the primary recruiting services.
Given that the Orange program has had its fair share of struggles at the center spot in recent years, Bradshaw would prove a gem for the ‘Cuse system.
To date, Syracuse basketball coaches have offered scholarships to a handful of 2023 high-school players, and the Orange is showing interest in numerous more prospects in this cycle.
