Syracuse basketball 2022 high-priority target Justin Taylor is scheduled to visit the Hill for an official visit in June, but he’s also planning to check out several other Atlantic Coast Conference teams during that month.

Recruiting guru Jake Weingarten, the founder of Stockrisers.com, said in a tweet that Taylor is eyeing visits to Virginia Tech on June 3, North Carolina on June 5 and 6, and then to the Orange on June 9 and 10. Weingarten added that Taylor could line up some other visits in June, too.

Mike McAllister, the publisher of SyracuseOnSI, had also previously reported that Taylor was planning to make an official visit to Central New York on June 9 and 10.

The 6-foot-6 Taylor, a four-star wing and top-100 player in the 2022 cycle, and other high-school prospects are beginning to map out their official and unofficial campus visits now that all Division I sports can return to their regular recruiting efforts starting on June 1, per the NCAA. Players are allowed five official visits.

Syracuse basketball continues to prioritize 2022 four-star wing Justin Taylor.

Taylor is a junior who attends the St. Anne’s-Belfield School in Charlottesville, Va. He holds a bunch of scholarship offers from high-major squads, although comments from analysts in recent months seem to suggest that the top contenders for Taylor include the ‘Cuse, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Indiana.

Taylor also recently landed an offer from Southeastern Conference member Florida. Although he hasn’t formed any sort of list of finalists yet, I feel confident that Syracuse basketball should remain in the running for the foreseeable future. As we’ve noted before, both the Tar Heels and the Hoosiers have new head coaches.

Taylor is an excellent shooter, but he possesses a strong all-around game on both ends of the floor. He has terrific length for a shooting guard, is athletic and versatile, and can score in the mid-range and by attacking the basket with precision, according to recruiting analysts.

In an ideal scenario, Taylor becomes a member of the Syracuse basketball 2022 class down the road. He’s the goods, in my opinion. Currently, the Orange has one verbal commitment in this class, and that is from four-star wing Kamari Lands from Prolific Prep in Napa Valley, Calif.
