Since 2023 four-star prospect G.G. Jackson received his first scholarship offer, from Syracuse basketball last August, the 6-foot-8 power forward has seen his recruitment expand on a national scale.

Jackson, a sophomore at Ridge View High School in Columbia, S.C., certainly has a long way to go in his recruiting process, although he’s garnering a lot of interest from Atlantic Coast Conference teams beyond the Orange.

According to Jackson’s Twitter page, he recently landed an offer from fellow ACC member Boston College. Other offers include from Virginia Tech, Clemson, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest and South Carolina.

A top-35 player across the country in the 2023 recruiting cycle, Jackson certainly will see more offers arrive, whether from ACC squads, Southeastern Conference groups or teams in other leagues nationwide.

We also detailed earlier this year how blue-blood school and ACC participant North Carolina was reportedly showing interest in Jackson, according to recruiting guru Jake Weingarten, the founder of Stockrisers.com.

To date, Syracuse basketball has offered scholarships to six prospects in the 2023 class, including Jackson. These talented players include point guards, wings and power forwards.

Syracuse basketball 2023 target G.G. Jackson is an intriguing prospect.

Jackson possesses loads of potential. He recently got named the Region III 5A Player of the Year after having a stellar sophomore term for Ridge View High School.

In previous interviews, Jackson has said that he’s searching for a college team with a system that focuses on player freedom on the court, as well as consistent ball movement rather than isolation sets.

I really hope that he continues to keep the ‘Cuse in the mix, as I believe that Jackson would fit in well within the Orange’s 2-3 zone on defense.

On offense, he would provide Syracuse basketball with a physical scoring presence in the paint, and Jackson is also a more than capable outside shooter.

The 247Sports Composite, 247Sports and Rivals.com all place Jackson as a four-star prospect. He is No. 26 overall in his class, according to Rivals.com.

The 247Sports recruiting service, meanwhile, recently updated its national rankings for the 2023 cycle. Jackson is No. 34 overall, per 247Sports, as well as the No. 6 power forward and the No. 1 player in South Carolina.
