Syracuse football could be on the verge of picking up talented 2022 three-star running back LeQuint Allen, according to several analysts.

The 6-foot-0 Allen, a junior at Millville High School in Millville, N.J., disclosed a top six of the Orange, Virginia, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, West Virginia and Temple last December, per his Twitter page.

Allen also recently said via Twitter that he plans to announce his collegiate destination on March 5, so the ‘Cuse should know where it stands later this week.

You never entirely know how things will shake out in the recruiting world, however, it does appear that Syracuse football has some nice momentum with Allen.

Brian Dohn, a national recruiting analyst for 247Sports, has entered a projection for Allen to the Orange, with Dohn giving this prognostication a confidence level of 7. Additionally, TheKnightReport.net recruiting analyst Ryan Patti and Richard Schnyderite, the publisher of TheKnightReport.net, have predicted Allen to the ‘Cuse on Rivals.com.

Syracuse football is trending in a positive direction with 2022 three-star running back LeQuint Allen.

Allen is rated three stars by the 247Sports Composite, 247Sports and Rivals.com. The 247Sports Composite has him at No. 911 overall in the 2022 cycle, as well as No. 68 at running back and No. 24 in the state of New Jersey.

The 247Sports recruiting service places Allen as the No. 96 running back in this class and the No. 31 high-school player in New Jersey. And Rivals.com ranks Allen at No. 47 for running back and No. 16 in New Jersey.

In mid-February, the Orange landed its first commitment in the team’s 2022 recruiting cycle. At that time, three-star Cornell Perry revealed his verbal commitment to Syracuse football.

The 6-foot-1 Perry, who plays both defensive back and wide receiver, is a junior at Woodhaven High School in Brownstown, Mich. Per his bio on the 247Sports Web site, Perry held several other scholarship offers, from teams such as Buffalo, Central Michigan, Bowling Green and Toledo.

As far as Allen is concerned, I believe that the ‘Cuse has a terrific chance at winning the recruiting battle for him. We’ll of course provide further updates on Allen once he unveils where he expects to suit up in college.
