At No. 15 nationally in the 2021 class, per Rivals.com, Syracuse basketball commit Benny Williams will arrive on the Hill later this year as one of the highest-rated recruits for the Orange in recent team history.

‘Cuse fans, myself included, cannot wait to see the 6-foot-8 forward don an Orange uniform, as Williams is a tremendously talented prospect as well as a passionate advocate for the Syracuse basketball program.

Williams, who is rated five stars according to several recruiting services, is having a strong senior campaign for the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

Rob Cassidy, a national analyst for Rivals.com, recently caught some of the games at the IMG Academy Beach Blast, an event in which Williams competed.

In an IMG Academy battle with Rocktop Academy, a prep school located in King of Prussia, Pa., Williams tallied 24 points. His performance featured “a pair of 3-pointers and a couple of emphatic dunks,” according to Cassidy.

A national recruiting analyst is impressed by the evolving game of Syracuse basketball commit Benny Williams.

Cassidy took in a bunch of affairs at the IMG Academy Beach Blast, and then he doled out some awards. His honor for Williams is entitled, “Mr. Do It All.”

Cassidy notes that Williams is focused on “becoming a more well-rounded player and a better teammate this season.” The Rivals.com analyst adds, “Williams has absolutely stuffed the stat sheet each time I’ve seen him this year, and Friday’s game against Rocktop Academy brought more of the same.”

We’ve detailed in some recent columns how Williams is working quite hard to improve and enhance his overall craft. Recruiting analysts have noticed, evidenced by how Williams continues to climb up the national rankings for the 2021 cycle.

The future Orange basketball player’s head coach at the IMG Academy has also chimed in about how Williams is faring. All of this is so encouraging, and I’m excited to see Williams on the Hill in the near future.

In his analysis on Williams, Cassidy closed with this. “Williams is the straw that stirs the drink for the IMG post-grad team and has a way of making his teammates’ lives easier on the offensive end.”
