Trevell Mullen, a top-250 player in the 2022 cycle, has Syracuse football in his top five.

Syracuse football is still looking for the first commitment in its 2022 class after recently missing on three-star linebacker Nyair Graham, and the Orange appears to have a solid chance at picking up four-star cornerback Trevell Mullen.

Mullen is a junior at Coconut Creek High School in Coconut Creek, Fla. He is listed by several recruiting Web sites as 6-foot and 155 pounds.

He disclosed via his Twitter page a top five of Syracuse football, fellow Atlantic Coast Conference member Miami, Indiana and Penn State out of the Big Ten Conference, and West Virginia from the Big 12 Conference.

Per his bio on the 247Sports Web site, Mullen received a scholarship offer from the ‘Cuse on Sept. 1 of this year. He is the brother of former Clemson player Trayvon Mullen and Indiana sophomore cornerback Tiawan Mullen.

At present, I’m not seeing any analyst forecasts or predictions for Trevell Mullen, although that certainly could change in the future given that he now has five finalists.

By the way, Graham, a top-40 linebacker in the 2022 cycle who attends Camden High School in Camden, N.J., had a top five of the Orange, along with Maryland, Penn State, Miami and Nebraska. He selected the Maryland Terrapins out of the Big Ten, revealing from his Twitter account on Dec. 5.

Syracuse football is in the running for 2022 four-star cornerback Trevell Mullen.

While Graham has opted for another school, it’s encouraging to see that the ‘Cuse remains in contention for Mullen, whose other offers have come from teams such as Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Oregon, Pittsburgh and TCU.

Mullen is rated a four-star prospect by ESPN, Rivals.com, the 247Sports Composite and 247Sports. Nationally across the 2022 class, Rivals.com has him at No. 124 overall, No. 13 at cornerback and No. 16 in the state of Florida.

ESPN places Mullen at No. 171 nationally, No. 17 at cornerback and No. 20 in Florida.

The 247Sports Composite arranges him at No. 169 overall, No. 20 at cornerback and No. 19 in Florida. Finally, 247Sports itself puts Mullen at No. 244 nationally, No. 29 at cornerback and No. 31 in Florida.
