Syracuse basketball 2022 commit Dior Johnson, a five-star point guard, remains unchanged at No. 3 overall in this cycle per the latest national rankings from 247Sports for the class, but some other Orange prospects have made major moves in one direction or another.

Four-star shooting guard Roddy Gayle Jr., a high-priority target for the ‘Cuse in this class, is down 24 placements to No. 54 nationally. Four-star center Donovan Clingan, another huge priority for Syracuse basketball coaches, fell 17 positions to No. 57.

Four-star point guard J.J. Starling, a Central New York product who now suits up for a powerhouse prep-school program in Indiana, dropped 13 spots to No. 66.

Four-star small forward Chris Bunch is No. 93 overall after moving up three placements. Yann Farrell, also a four-star small forward, is up two slots to No. 97 across the country.

Finally, four-star small forward Tyrell Ward dropped two positions to No. 114 within the 2022 recruiting cycle. Syracuse basketball has yet to offer Ward a scholarship, although the Orange coaching staff is displaying interest in the talented wing.
