Syracuse basketball 2023 target Aden Holloway is receiving a lot of interest from ACC teams.

In the summer of 2019, Syracuse basketball became the first college squad to offer a scholarship to 2023 point guard Aden Holloway, and analysts say that Holloway’s recruitment is only going to continue to grow.

Although the 6-foot Holloway, a sophomore at the Covenant Day School in Matthews, N.C., isn’t ranked by some of the main recruiting services at this juncture, that should absolutely change. Some analysts foresee him as a four-star prospect, as well as one of the premier point guards in the 2023 recruiting cycle.

For now, Prep Hoops places Holloway at No. 23 nationally in his class. The primary recruiting Web sites note that he presently holds offers from the Orange and fellow Atlantic Coast Conference teams Wake Forest and Virginia Tech, along with Winthrop and North Carolina A&T.

"Check out what 247Sports national analyst Travis Branham had to say about Holloway in a recent piece. “The Team Thad Combine tipped off over the weekend featuring a slew of young 2022 and 2023 prospects. Among all the talent that took the floor, arguably no one stood out more and made a bigger statement than North Carolina native Aden Holloway.”"

Syracuse basketball got in early with 2023 point guard Aden Holloway, and his recruitment is taking off.

Holloway said of the ‘Cuse and Wake Forest, “They’ve just been recruiting me hard and telling me to keep them in the mix and stuff like that.”

However, Virginia Tech is recruiting Holloway “the hardest,” he told Branham. “The coaching staff likes me a lot and I like them a lot too so we will see.”

Holloway adds, “I’m really looking for a family aspect and to get to the League.”

"Branham had a lot of positive things to say about the Syracuse basketball target, writing that Holloway is “a dynamic point guard who is a big time scorer for such a young prospect and also is an impressive playmaker. … Not only that, but Holloway is also a high level shooter off the catch and bounce from three, who creates his own shot, and is an elite finisher around the rim with great body control. At this stage, Holloway is more of a score-first point guard but this weekend he displayed impressive moments as a passer and decision maker with good feel and instincts for the game.”"
