Syracuse had a crummy last two weeks against ranked teams to open the season. The Orange this week gets a rebuilding Georgia Tech team, who still has lots of talent, back home in the reopened and renovated Dome.

Though no fans will be permitted to attend, being at home should help Syracuse finds its footing, you would think. Though not all the problems with the offense will be fixed overnight, significant changes made during the week may help turn the tide back in the Orange’s favor on gameday.

I think the Yellow Jackets are the perfect team for Syracuse to rebound on and I think we’ll see then win for the first time this year. The defense is pretty solid and should keep them in the game long enough for the offense to figure itself out.

Once that happens, I think the Orange will squeak out a last-minute victory at home, 24-21. One shouldn’t expect a high scoring affair. In fact, I think it will be a bit of a defensive game with each team stalling the other after a first down or two all game long.

However, I think it will be Syracuse who will want to defend home turf that someway, somehow, comes out on top. Be happy, ‘Cuse fans, I hear a winning streak coming!!!! Let’s Go Orange!
